Weekly Choir News

Happy Thanksgiving!

From all of us with COHC we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families.  We are so thankful for each one of you here at COHC.  We wouldn't be who we are without you.

Remember, there is no rehearsal tomorrow!  We will see you next Tuesday!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Program Sales
All program sales and corresponding artwork for the December concert are due by the next rehearsal (November 27th).  There have been a few questions asked about ad sales so let me share a few tips:

  • Ad sales are our only fundraiser this year.
  • Ad sales can be done by everyone (Music Experience thru Bella Voce)
  • Ad sales can be used toward tuition, tour, uniforms, or any other expense incurred through COHC.
  • Ad sales are NOT tax deductible.
  • Ad sales can be sold to almost anyone as long as it is family friendly--a company, a friend, a family member.
  • One ad sale can earn you as little at $25 or as much as $150.  Bella Voce, start thinking Spring and Nashville and traveling fun.  That $750 tour could easily be accomplished with the sale of only 6 full page ads or 10 half page ads.  Get out there sale.  We want everyone to go!
  • Although the deadline for the Christmas program is NEXT Tuesday.  You may continue to sale program ads for the Spring concert.
For more information and to download and print a copy of the ad sales form check out our website or click here.

Uniform Check Tuesday
On Tuesday, November 27th there will be an Illuminati and Bella Voce uniform check. All choir members need to wear their uniforms to rehearsal. Please be sure to have your uniforms hemmed/altered as needed before this rehearsal. Ladies, your dresses should be hemmed so that the seam falls no more than 1" from the floor when wearing your concert shoes.

Christmas Music
All Christmas music will be due this week during rehearsal.  Please be prepared to turn in any Christmas music you have checked out from COHC by erasing any pencil markings you may have added.  Remember, any unreturned music at the end of the semester will result in a fine equal to the amount of the music.

There IS Tuition Due in December
Just a friendly reminder--Due to the fact that we did not have tuition due in August (unlike in years past) we do have tuition due on December 4th.  Remember, singers with outstanding dues at the time of a performance or tour will NOT be allowed to participate.  If you have any questions concerning your current COHC accounts, please feel free to contact our treasurer, Ann Hankins, at

End of the Semester Calendar
There are a lot of events happening during the next two weeks with COHC.  So as not to repeat myself, please check the November 6th post for details on CTSWS rehearsals, the One Day Tour schedule for Bella Voce and Illuminati, and the Christmas concert and rehearsal schedules.

A few address updates for the One Day Tour:

206 E. 1st Street, Edmond

*Bella Voce, please meet outside the north double doors at 9:00 a.m. to prepare for this short mini-concert.

Edmond Library
10 S. Boulevard, Edmond

*Illuminati will join Bella Voce for this performance.  Also, this performance is a public performance making it a great opportunity to invite friends or co-ops to come listen.  It will be very short and informal--a great introduction for anyone interested in joining choir second semester.  Choir members will need to be here by 9:45 a.m.  The concert begins at 10:00 a.m.

Parent Volunteers Needed
As the semester draws to a close we have several one-time volunteer opportunities that need your help.  If you are interested in helping in one or more of these areas, please contact me ASAP at
