Choir News for 4/2

OCHEC Convention Volunteers NEEDED

Sign up is now Online!

Believe it or not, it's time to start thinking about the Spring OCHEC convention.  If you haven't already purchased your family ticket, I highly encourage you to do so this week as the fee goes up on March 1st.  You can learn more about the convention on the OCHEC website.  It has been asked if we are going to sing at Convention again this year and currently the answer is no.  We are very thankful to have sung at Captial Day though because it was actually a better venue for us.  However, we WILL DEFINITELY need MANY parent volunteers to work the choir booth and ask if every family would have at least one parent volunteer during the course of the convention.  Even if you are not planning on attending the convention with your family, we can still arrange for a badge to be given to you during the time you sign up to serve in the COHC booth. In fact, you may even have a little extra time to browse the convention hall on us as a thank you!  You can sign up online here.  I thank you in advance for your service in this way as it would not be possible without you!

This Tuesday is your last tuition payment (for those on the montly payment plan) for the year.  Please be sure to check with Ann Hankins at the information table this week to make sure your account is cleared away for all end-of-the-year accounting records.  Just as a reminder the handbook states:  Singers with outstanding dues at the time of a performance or tour will not be allowed to participate. This includes tour participation as well as the Spring Concert. We thank you for your cooperation in this matter because we REALLY want everyone to participate and definitely don't want to have to implement that policy! ;)

Illuminati Tour Fees Due

If your child is in Illuminati and planning on attending the Heartland Festival Tour in Saturday, April 20, THIS TUESDAY (4/2) is the last day we will accept deposits.  This is one tour we want everyone to go on!  It's $65 for a one day tour to the Heartland Music Festival which includes bus transportation, contest, lunch, and an afternoon at Frontier City.    The question has been asked but yes, students remain with an adult sponsor at all times while on tour.  Speaking of which, would you like to go as a sponsor?  If so, please let me know ASAP via e-mail.  I know a couple of you have mentioned it in passing but I do much better when I have it written down so assume I don't have you name when you e-mail just in case.  ;)  The cost for the sponsor is the same as the students.  A detailed schedule of the day will be coming out NEXT week!

Thanks again for volunteering in this way! We now have only 3 blank spots left on the information table attendant sign-up sheet. Could one of them be for you?
