Choir News: Member Dues, Uniforms, and Lots of NEW and EXCITING events you WON'T Want to Miss

Member Dues

Since Spring enrollment remains open until January 21st, we have opted to forego any late fees until January 28th for the benefit of all.  So what does that mean for you?  You still have time to take in the semester tuition discount if you haven't done so already.  To do so, go here to use the payment widget or to download a payment coupon which you can snail mail with your check.  Forget where to mail it?  The address is always on the bottom of the payment coupon, but let me give it to you here just in case:

Spring Uniform Sizing

If you are a new Bella Voce or Illuminati member or you are in those groups and need a new uniform this semester, uniform sizing will take place at the following locations and times.  Please choose one location/time to be sized for your choir uniform.  Also, moms, please attend your child's sizing.  This would be a GREAT help!

Wednesday, January 28th between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at Edmond's First Christian Church on the corner of 2nd and Boulevard.  (no appointment necessary)
Saturday, January 31st between 10 a.m and 2 p.m.  (please call or email for an appointment) at Lynda Nedrow's home (3801 E. 32nd St., Edmond)

If you are a new Music Experience and/or Principio member, you will be responsible for getting your own uniform. Due to our experience from the Christmas concert, we HIGHLY suggest you consider purchasing your uniform through the links provided below. Failure to meet the uniform guidelines will result in your child not being able to perform at the Spring concert.

Music Experience and Principio boys:  Black pants and white long-sleeved collared dress shirt with black belt, socks, and shoes (all self-acquired)

Music Experience and Principio girls:  Black pants or skirt (knee-length or below) and white long-sleeved collared dress shirt with black tights and black shoes (self-acquired).

Used Uniform Sales

Do you have a use uniform you would like to sale this semester?  Due to our experience of trying to handle sales across multiple locations last semester, we will no longer be handling used uniform sales.  However, if you would like to sale a used uniform to another choir member, you are welcome to advertise your uniform on our Facebook page.  The suggested price for used uniforms is $35.  

Coming in May:  First COHC Talent Show and Potluck

On the evening of May 12th, we will be holding the first COHC Talent Show.  Do you have a talent you are just dying to share with other COHC members?  Do you dance?  Do you play an instrument?  Do you tell the most hysterical jokes?  Of course, we don't have to ask if you sing?!  Well, on May 12th we will be holding our first COHC Talent Show for all choir members and their families.  More information and a sign-up will be shared soon, but feel free to begin working on your talent now.  Only rules:

All acts must...

  1. be family friendly.
  2. no more than 5 minutes long.
  3. include at least one choir member in the act.
  4. include dress that meets COHC standards (if you are unsure of our dress standards, please read our handbook for more information.  
  5. provide their own props. 

Coming this Fall:  The First Annual COHC Golf Tournament


Yes, you read that right, COHC is planning on holding it's first fundraising golf tournament in the Fall of 2015. Do you golf or know someone that does?  Or, would you be interested in helping to coordinate this event or know someone who would?  Or, do you know a golf pro that would like to join us for this event?  Then we could surely use your help.  To learn more or to volunteer, please contact board member, Diana Chippeaux.  Thanks!
