Saturday, March 25th: TWO EVENTS


This coming Saturday is a “2 in 1” day for Illuminati and Bella Voce students.  Below is a breakdown of the day to help you in your family scheduling.  You can also refer to the email that was sent out on Saturday as well as the one in February and the bright yellow information sheet that was passed out to your students in February. 

Date— Saturday: March 25th
Location:  First Baptist Church- Edmond (1300 East 33rd Street, Edmond, OK 73013 )

Event #1: Solo & Ensemble (10am - 12pm)
All Illuminati and Bella Voce students have been placed into an ensemble group that will perform this coming Saturday morning.  Their Choral Director will communicate the exact arrival, warm-up, and performance times for each ensemble.  All performance times will be between 10am and 12pm. 

COHC students should wear their performance uniforms for the Solo & Ensemble Festival.
Ladies: Black Dresses, black dress shoes, black hose
Guys:  White collared shirt: black pants; black belt; black dress shoes

Event #1.5 :  Male Vocal Clinic - Bella Voce & Illuminati Guys only
11:15am -12pm: We are bringing back the Male Vocal Clinic!  Guest clinician Dr. Steven Curtis (former OU choral director) will be working with our Illuminati and Bella Voce guys. 

Lunch— The COHC is not providing lunch at First Baptist Church.  However, students are welcome to bring a sack lunch to eat in the foyer.  Students can also choose to eat at one of the restaurants at 33rd & Boulevard (Kamps, All American Pizza, Sonic);  33rd & Broadway (McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-A) or Bryant & 15th (Fuzzy’s Taco, Panera Bread, Louie’s, Starbucks)

Event #2: Combined Rehearsal (Illuminati & Bella Voce) 12:30 - 3pm
Illuminati & Bella Voce students will rehearse Heartland Music Festival Music and Spring Concert combined pieces.  Bella Voce will have guest clinician and local composer Christi Cari Miller guiding them through her piece “Festival Gloria”—which is one of our contest & Spring concert pieces. 

Students can change into their COHC t-shirt/ jeans if they do not wish to wear their dress performance clothes for the entire day. 

Thank you for your continued commitment to furthering the choral excellence of the COHC.  The Choral Directors are looking forward to this music-filled Saturday.  If you have questions about your child’s ensemble - contact their Choral Director.  

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED!  This event cannot run by itself and the 6 Choral Directors will be busy conducting ensembles and assisting in many other capacities.  Parents-- please sign up to volunteer for at least 30 minutes to ensure this is a successful community-wide homeschool event.  SIGN UP HERE
