Oklahoma Hello! from Jacque Hocking, the new Executive Director

Now that we have a week behind us after the wonderful spring concerts, I am writing to mostly say hello and to let you know I am committed to you, your children and this organization. I am so excited to begin this journey with you. Music has been and continues to be an enormous part of my life; from standing beside the piano and singing with my grandmother to singing "I Love You a Bushel and a Peck" to my grandchildren. Whether one develops into a professional musician or just enjoys the joy, peace, and comfort music brings, the gift of music should be embraced.

I am determined to keep the Central Oklahoma Homeschool Choirs a vital part of our state. I am also excited about the growth of our group. Your family's part in this organization is what keeps us going. I want to hear your thoughts and ideas and will share them with the choral directors and board. I will strive to make this experience one you and your children will cherish.

Currently, I am in the thick of the 'learning curve' and appreciate your patience as I sort out and make the rigors of this position a part of my everyday life. The plans for fall are well underway and the choral directors and the board will be meeting soon to continue our work, which will make the 2017-2018 season successful.

May God richly bless you and your family this summer and keep you safe in the palm of His hand.
